The local Credit Risk Management - International Private Bank team is looking for a Leveraged Finance Credit Officer.

This is a key role in contributing to the success of Deutsche Banks leveraged lending franchise. You will partner with front office colleagues to analyze leveraged lending transactions, manage a portfolio of leveraged counterparties, and contribute to regulatory audits. You will also play a critical role in ensuring adherence to all credit policies, internal data quality and regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

  • In-depth analysis of Italian Mid Cap market leveraged and structured finance transactions including leveraged buyouts (LBOs) financings, corporate acquisition financings, Public to Private financings, real estate financings and corporate loans, assessing creditworthiness / internal rating of potential borrowers (through review of due diligence documentation, critical evaluation of business plans, revision of credit memos and financial models, etc.), providing credit recommendations to senior management and revising transactions contractual documentation.
  • Portfolio management for leveraged counterparties, including analysis of amendment/ waiver requests, monitoring of borrowers’ performances, credit/rating reviews, data upload/maintenance in the credit systems and other administrative tasks.
  • Building of very close relationships with front office colleagues sharing views and proposing solutions.
  • Providing of assistance on reporting requests for internal / external auditors and regulatory authorities.
  • Ensure credit approval documentation is consistent with leveraged lending policies and applicable regulations.

Skills

  • Min 5-year experience working on leveraged finance transactions in a credit risk or similar role.
  • Advanced knowledge of the English language (oral and written).
  • Able to work under time pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Degree in Economics or Management Engineering, preferably with CFA.
  • Advanced skills in utilization of Microsoft Office, basic utilization of SAS.
