La posizione richiede una laurea in Giurisprudenza e oltre 4 anni di esperienza in studi internazionali. Il candidato gestirà questioni legali globali, redigerà contratti e fornirà supporto alle unità aziendali per la protezione legale e la conformità normativa.

We are looking for a Legal Counsel to join our headquarters at Sant’Agata Bolognese (BO), reporting directly to theChief Financial Officer and functionally to the Head of Legal Services .

You will be responsible tofor supporting the Head of Legal Services in dealing with Company’s legal issues (e.g. legal opinions, contract preparations, legal arguments, etc.) – labour law matters excluded – with worldwide impact.

Main Activities :

• Legal opinions preparation to support business areas with :

Collection of legal opinion requests from Departments;

• Analysis of requests, taking in consideration overall Company needs, subjects, timing legal constraints, Company and Group processes constraints (e.g. defined process lead time), level of requests (e.g. Board requests);
• Cooperation with external legal suppliers, where needed for specific issues (e.g. foreign issues, legal arguments, etc.);
• Legal risks evaluation to support Company business decisions with different solutions.
• Contracts preparation (dealership, sponsorship, motorsport, consultancy, procurement, engineering and licensing contracts included - worldwide) :

Collection of service requests from Departments;

• Support during negotiation with suppliers for aspects concerning legal issues;
• Respect of timing.
• Regulatory topics :

Analysis of the relevant regulations applicable to the automotive sector worldwide and cooperation to ensure compliance of the products.

• Legal arguments management :

Collection of info and analysis with organizational units involved;

• Legal risks analysis evaluation and advices on possible strategy to be followed from a legal point of view;
• Cooperation with external legal suppliers, where needed for specific issues (e.g. foreign issues, legal arguments, etc.).
• Legal support / legal advisory to business areas for brand protection / intellectual property cases;
• Legal services partners evaluation and costs monitoring;
• Close cooperation with VW Legal units counterparts (e.g. benchmarking, communication of Group / Companies legal structure changes, lesson learned, etc.);
• Close cooperation with Head of Regions for legal topic issues worldwide and for local legal issues support.
• Support in product liability topics.

About you

• University degree in Law (MBA / LLM or equivalent is a plus)
• Over 4 years of experience in international law firms or multinational companies
• Bar admission is a preferred
• Italian and English knowledge, German will be considered a plus
