We are looking for a Legal Counsel to join our headquarters in Sant’Agata Bolognese (BO). You will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and functionally to the Head of Legal Services.

Your responsibilities include supporting the Head of Legal Services with legal matters (excluding labor law), such as legal opinions, contract drafting, and legal analysis, with a global scope.

Main Activities :

• Preparing legal opinions to support business areas, including:

Gathering legal opinion requests from departments;

• Analyzing requests considering company needs, legal constraints, timelines, and process requirements;
• Collaborating with external legal providers for specialized issues;
• Evaluating legal risks to inform business decisions with various solutions.

• Drafting contracts (dealership, sponsorship, motorsport, consultancy, procurement, engineering, licensing) worldwide:

Handling service requests from departments;

• Supporting negotiations with suppliers on legal issues;
• Ensuring compliance with deadlines.

• Regulatory compliance:

Analyzing applicable automotive regulations worldwide and supporting compliance efforts.

• Managing legal arguments:

Gathering information and analyzing with involved units;

• Assessing legal risks and advising on strategies;
• Collaborating with external legal experts as needed;

• Providing legal support on brand protection and intellectual property cases;

• Evaluating legal service providers and monitoring costs;

• Cooperating with VW legal units for benchmarking and communication regarding legal structures;

• Working with regional heads on global and local legal issues;

• Supporting product liability matters.

About you

• Law degree (MBA / LLM or equivalent is a plus);
• Over 4 years of experience in international law firms or multinational companies;
• Bar admission preferred;
• Fluent in Italian and English; German is a plus;
• Effective communicator;
• Team player;
• Precise and attentive to detail.
