Remuneration : B / C, Level B from $127,947 / Level C from $155,403 plus 17% super

Why Your Role Matters

The School of Science seeks a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Mathematics. The School covers Physics & Oceanography, Chemistry, Geography, Aviation, and Mathematics & Statistics. A comprehensive Mathematics program is taught from first to third year, forming part of a three-year Bachelor of Science degree or a four-year Honours degree. A PhD program is also offered.

The School has strong research profiles in Bushfire Research and Number Theory. The Bushfire Research Group investigates bushfire behavior and risk modeling, while the Number Theory group explores properties of integers through advanced techniques.

Who You Are (skills and experience)

• A PhD in a related discipline, or relevant work experience.
• Commitment to staying updated with discipline knowledge.
• Experience in teaching and curriculum development at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels.
• Experience with educational technologies and online delivery.
• Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence.
• Ability to support students from diverse backgrounds and promote inclusion.
• For senior lecturer level, evidence of qualifications for that level.
