The School of Science seeks a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Mathematics. The School covers Physics & Oceanography, Chemistry, Geography, Aviation, and Mathematics & Statistics. A comprehensive Mathematics program is taught from first to third year, forming part of a three-year Bachelor of Science degree or a four-year Honours degree. A PhD program is also offered.
The School has strong research profiles in Bushfire Research and Number Theory. The Bushfire Research Group investigates bushfire behavior and risk modeling, while the Number Theory group explores properties of integers through advanced techniques.
