Job Title: Area Learning & Development Manager - Luxury hotel

A prestigious luxury hotel located in the heart of Sicily is seeking a skilled and service-driven Learning & Development Manager to lead all training and employee development initiatives. This role is essential to upholding our brand promise of refined, intuitive hospitality by building a high-performing team rooted in excellence and attention to detail.

As Learning & Development Manager, you will be responsible for shaping the hotel’s service culture through targeted training strategies, performance development, and leadership support. Your experience working specifically in luxury hotels will allow you to elevate our teams to meet the expectations of the most discerning international guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and lead a holistic training strategy aligned with the hotel’s luxury positioning.
• Oversee onboarding, compliance, and continuous development across all operational departments (e.g., front office, F&B, housekeeping, spa).
• Facilitate hands-on training sessions focused on five-star guest interaction, service etiquette, and departmental excellence.
• Partner with department heads to identify skill gaps, design tailored learning paths, and support succession planning.
• Implement and monitor KPIs to assess training impact and support a culture of continuous improvement.
• Ensure strict compliance with service, safety, legal, and brand standards.
• Champion the hotel's values while fostering collaboration, motivation, and professional growth.

Required Profile

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a Learning & Development role within the luxury hotel industry.
• Proven track record delivering high-impact training in hospitality environments.
• Deep knowledge of luxury guest expectations, service culture, and operational excellence.
• Fluent in Italian and English (other languages are a plus).
• Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills; confident in coaching and public speaking.
• Familiarity with LMS platforms and performance development tools.
