Vertiv is seeking a Lean Specialist to drive Lean Manufacturing deployment across three production plants in Italy. You will lead continuous improvement on the shop floor, train teams in Lean methodologies, and support FMEA and root-cause analysis in collaboration with R&D. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

The role emphasizes improving safety, quality, delivery, cost and overall operational performance, with a focus on cross-plant standardisation and effective reporting.

Competenze

• Engineering degree preferred.
• Around 5 years of experience in Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement.
• Good knowledge of Lean tools: P-FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, PDCA, Kaizen.
• Experience in manufacturing environment, metal fabrication/welding/assembly preferred.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and proficient in MS Office.

The Lean Specialist will support the deployment of Lean Manufacturing across the three production plants, working closely with Manufacturing Managers to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost and overall operational performance.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and Lean workshops on the shop floor.
• Support the deployment of the Vertiv Operations System (VOS) roadmap.
• Train teams on Lean methodologies including 5S, VSM, TPM, SMED and Standard Work.
• Monitor production KPIs and identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality and lead time.
• Identify process bottlenecks and support root-cause analysis and problem-solving activities.
• Support FMEA activities in collaboration with R&D.
• Contribute to improvements in production layouts, tools, jigs and line organisation.
• Prepare reports to track the effectiveness of improvement actions.

Requirements

• Engineering degree preferred.
• Around 5 years of experience in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement or a similar industrial role is highly preferred, candidate with less can be considered.
• Good knowledge of Lean tools such as P-FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, PDCA and Kaizen.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably involving metal fabrication, brazing, welding or assembly.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Strong problem-solving, teamwork and organisational skills.

The role covers Lean Manufacturing activities across all three production plants. xlwpduy Time & Methods activities are outside the scope of the position.
