Job Description

The DC Network Lean Sigma Project Leader is responsible for defining and executing strategic projects aimed at improving performance across operational areas such as EHS, People Engagement, Quality, Cost, and Productivity. The role requires the use of Lean/Six Sigma tools to identify opportunities for business improvement and reports to the DC Network Operations Manager.

REPRESENTATIVE ACTIVITIES: Activities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Model and promote the Corporation’s Code of Business Ethics and Values.
  • Lead and influence team members to achieve individual and business goals.
  • Be a change agent—challenge old ways of doing business and implement breakthrough improvements. Motivate others to accept process changes and take ownership.
  • Analyze and utilize information for strategic change and improvement across multiple Distribution Centers. Support the design and implementation of operational improvement strategies for safety, engagement, cost, quality, and productivity.
  • Drive execution of DC Network strategic plans, set operational improvement goals, and clarify priorities and accountabilities.
  • Initiate, lead, and implement assigned projects successfully.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Enterprise Lean Sigma philosophy and methods through training and certification.
  • Focus on improving complex performance via ELS efforts.
  • Ensure tracking and use of key performance indicators to enhance operational and business results.
  • Train, educate, and mentor others on Lean/Sigma principles.

This position is based in Cadorago, Italy, with approximately 50% travel within Europe.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business or related field.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
  • 4-5 years of project management or related experience, including leading others and managing cross-functional projects.
  • Strong facilitation, customer service, relationship-building, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in project management tools such as Excel or Microsoft Project.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Experience applying ELS/DfLS (Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing) methods and tools is preferred.
  • Comfortable presenting to all organizational levels.
  • Good business acumen and ability to influence without authority.
