As a Lead Specialist, Regulatory Affairs, you will be responsible for building and growing internal customer intimacy and trust in response to dsm-firmenich business needs for local and global markets. Internal customers will include Regulatory Affairs team members, sales, creative and innovation functions. Responsibility will range from supporting the understanding of regulatory affairs requirements in complex briefing, regulatory compliance checks and advice, regulatory data collection and analysis, coordination with RA Group teams in face of the internal business, supporting process improvements and ensuring alignment of RA related activities with all required aspects of dsm-firmenich policy.

Your key responsibilities
  1. Develop and maintain internal customer relationships in market and region in alignment with business plans and provide local support on all aspects relating to the compliance of dsm-firmenich P&B portfolio.
  2. Develop and maintain expertise in local, regional and global compliance requirements, advocate clearly and effectively internally.
  3. When changes to client, government or industry standards take place, support the review, compare changes and interact with client to guide the group data compliance team in database implementation and implement accordingly including development of appropriate data linkages in Core DB and modification to the appropriate questionnaires.
  4. Support local managers/director in meeting strategic regulatory and compliance targets agreed with business.
  5. Share positions with internal customers as agreed.

You bring
  1. Minimum 1-year experience in regulatory affairs for the Fragrance & Flavour industry.
  2. Good knowledge of fragrance, cosmetics and chemicals regulations.
  3. Fluent in English, French is a plus.

  1. Able to understand what's needed to support business strategy, contribute to longer term plans and deliver.
  2. Can integrate creative and business thinking into delivering solutions.
  3. Masters verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills (can adapt between presenting technical detail and using everyday language for complex issues).
  4. Acts as a change champion, not only with successfully implementing change through trainings and communications but continuously looking for ways to improve RA level of support to the business.
  5. Uses emotional intelligence to deliver the most adapted services and manage expectations (hard skills, soft skills, advanced regulatory knowledge).
