Position: Senior Project Lead Engineer

Profile:

We are looking for a key leader in our projects, you will work alongside multidisciplinary engineering teams through all project phases, from proposal to design, construction, and testing.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a global environment, enjoys technical challenges, and is passionate about delivering high-quality, cost-effective solutions. You’ll work closely with customers, suppliers, and contractors, gaining exposure to complex delivery projects.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluating, selecting and applying standard techniques, procedures and criteria to perform tasks for conventional projects with few complex features.
• Acting as a design authority for a particular engineering discipline.
• Collaborating on project installation, commissioning and site activities, clarifying potential issues and providing technical support.
• Assisting in creating proposals for projects through coordination of proposal documents and engineering estimates and performing risk analysis before submitting proposals.
• Overseeing the creation of subcontract and managing subcontractors jointly with other involved functions, including supply chain management.
• Ensuring engineering activities comply with required safety regulations and contractual requirements.
• Leading and coordinating teams in all engineering disciplines (both in-house and outsourced) on low complexity projects. Leading single or multi-discipline engineering teams of less than 5 people.

Ideal Background

• Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Electrical / Energy / Mechanical Engineering or similar field.
• Solid background and relevant previous work experience in GIS (gas insulated switchgear) and / or AIS (air insulated switchgear) and / or EPC power plants.
• Able to work with different and multiple stakeholders, proven expertise in coordination of projects and people.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent teamwork and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Italian
