Responsibilities
  • Serve as the global owner of calibration and measurement equipment processes across all integrated laboratories.
  • Define and harmonize procedures for calibration scheduling and traceability, equipment qualification and requalification, maintenance and lifecycle management, procurement and onboarding of new test equipment.
  • Ensure consistency and clarity in documentation and workflows across all sites.
  • Implement and incorporate technical decisions from Technical Competence Centers (e.g., GLTL, PrEs) into standardized operating procedures.
  • Ensure alignment with ISO 17025 and other relevant accreditation standards for calibration and equipment management.
  • Develop, own, and implement the General Excellence Laboratory Guideline for calibration and equipment processes.
  • Define global procurement standards for laboratory test equipment, including vendor qualification and technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with regional and global procurement teams to ensure cost‑effective and compliant sourcing.
  • Oversee onboarding, acceptance testing, and documentation of new equipment.
  • Maintain centralized visibility of equipment inventory, calibration status, and lifecycle data.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as calibration compliance rate, equipment downtime and availability, procurement lead time, and planned vs. actual effort for equipment‑related activities.
  • Ensure data integrity and transparency in equipment tracking and calibration records.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives based on performance trends and audit findings.
  • Co‑develop and implement the Laboratory Playbook, ensuring calibration and equipment processes are clearly defined and regularly reviewed.

  • Support business planning and strategic development of new labs and services.
  • Provide input into lab consolidation efforts, ensuring equipment processes scale effectively.
  • Collaborate with digital and IT teams to embed equipment workflows into digital platforms for automation, traceability, and analytics.
Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in calibration, measurement test equipment management, or related process management within laboratory or manufacturing environments.
  • Demonstrated expertise in equipment lifecycle management, calibration standards, procurement, and asset governance.
  • Experience in developing and harmonizing operational workflows and documentation across multiple sites or regions.
  • Proven ability to drive technical reliability, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency aligned with global business strategy.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent process improvement training.
