Lead Mechanical Rotating Engineer, Pavia

Techint Engineering & Construction, a leading international contractor, is seeking a Lead Mechanical Rotating Engineer for its Milan office to support its growth plans.

The successful candidate will be part of the Mechanical Department and work within a multidisciplinary team responsible for developing projects in the industrial sector, including Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power, LNG, Green and Energy Transition technologies, among others. They will ensure the correct execution of activities related to machinery and packages for both operating and bidding phases.

Responsibilities include:
  • Issuing technical documents such as specifications, material requisitions, and data sheets.
  • Preliminary machinery and auxiliaries selection.
  • Contributing to interdisciplinary documents like equipment lists, electrical load lists, and project design basis.
  • Analyzing equipment suppliers’ offers and conducting technical bid evaluations.
  • Following up on equipment supplies and documentation, resolving technical issues, and maintaining contacts with suppliers, other disciplines, and customers.
  • Coordinating with other disciplines for activity and documentation development.
  • Managing project timelines.
  • Participating in project meetings.

The candidate may coordinate other machinery and package engineers, review their work and documentation, and manage tasks autonomously.

All work must comply with company and project standards, quality, codes of conduct, contractual requirements, and schedules.

The candidate should stay updated on international standards, codes relevant to machinery, and technological and market news.

Essential requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Oil & Gas, Chemical, Petrochemical, Power, or LNG plants.
  • Knowledge of common industrial machinery, equipment, and processes.
  • Familiarity with machinery standards and codes.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, document management tools, and AutoCAD.
  • Fluency in Italian and English; Spanish is a plus.
