Lead Embedded Software Engineer (m/f/d), Pavia

This role is hybrid, requiring the majority of presence in the office (1-2 days/week of home office).

Role Overview

Join us as a Lead Embedded Software Engineer (m/f/d) at our Milan Software Development Hub. You will be part of an agile team developing advanced software tools shaping the future of elevator technology, focusing on quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead a Scrum team developing next-generation elevator software using C++.
• Manage release schedules, software architecture decisions, and team mentoring.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and component managers to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Develop embedded C++ software using modern standards and tools.
• Oversee release content and responsiveness to stakeholder needs.
• Contribute to software design and architecture innovations.
• Support and motivate team members, balancing development and leadership tasks (~25% development).

Candidate Profile

• Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, electronics, or equivalent.
• Extensive experience in embedded software development in C++, C, including unit testing and scripting.
• Proven experience as a technical product owner and in technical leadership roles.
• Proficiency with development tools such as Linux, Git, JIRA, and agile methodologies like Scrum/Kanban.
• Knowledge of real-time systems is a plus.
• Fluent in English; Italian and German are advantageous.
