KPIT is seeking a Lead Base Software SoC Engineer to support VHIL labs, production environments, and pre-production plant setups in Torino, Italy. The role requires broad systems expertise across embedded software platforms and infotainment subsystems, with hands-on debugging of bootloaders, OSs and hypervisors.

Travel to production plants is expected to resolve on-site issues. Responsibilities include debugging infotainment peripherals, connectivity subsystems, and diagnostics frameworks, plus

Competenze

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering.
• 5+ years of embedded software debugging experience.
• Strong experience with bootloaders, OS, hypervisors, and debugging tools.

Mansioni

• Debug and triage embedded software issues in Plant, VHIL, and production setups.
• Travel to production plants and test facilities to support on-site issue resolution.
• Support system bring-up and troubleshooting of bootloaders, OS, hypervisors, middleware stacks, and diagnostics.
• Debug and validate infotainment peripherals and connectivity subsystems (Displays, Touch Interfaces, Cameras, Audio, BTWiFi, Radio Tuners).
• Collaborate with FOTA teams to debug OTA update mechanisms and rollback handling.
• Develop and maintain scripts for logs, debugging, and flashing workflows.
• Ensure diagnostic coverage (UDS, DoIP, SOMEIP, OBD-II) and plant readiness.
