The Electrical Project Lead is responsible for overseeing all electrical engineering activities within a project. They must work in compliance with the project schedule, technical requirements, and budget constraints to ensure cost optimization. This role involves leading a team of specialists and engineers appointed to the project by the department head and reporting to the Project Engineering Manager for project specifics and to the department head for resource management and quality assurance.

Key Activities & Responsibilities : \

• Prepare and discuss the project execution strategy with the Project Team (PD / PM and PEM) and the Head of Department, ensuring its implementation throughout the project lifecycle. For complex topics requiring high-level expertise, the Project Leader will be assisted by Group Leaders.
• Coordinate with the Project Engineering Manager and other Project Leaders to create and maintain project procedures, ensuring their application in line with general department guidelines and applicable standards.
• Ensure consistency across the discipline, regardless of location or distribution of engineering centers, guaranteeing adherence to contract requirements, time schedules, and deliverable quality under the guidance of the Project Engineering Manager.
• Supervise and participate in drafting project technical specifications, requests for tenders, tabulations, and technical follow-up of supplies.
• Develop and supervise the development of engineering electrical systems.
• Interface with customers and suppliers for technical aspects related to the discipline.
• Provide assistance to construction activities during plant commissioning.

Personal Attributes : \

• A degree in Electrical Engineering or Diploma in Electrical Engineering
• At least 10 years of experience in electrical engineering in plant engineering companies in the petrochemical, oil & gas, power sectors
• A minimum of two years of experience as a project leader
• Experience in construction and commissioning activities as an electrical field supervisor
• Ability to coordinate international working groups distributed across different locations
• Fluent English speaker and writer
• Availability to travel for short and long periods in Italy and abroad
