Competenze

• 5+ years of electrical project engineering experience, preferably in Data Centre or complex construction environments.
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.

A leading engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to join a permanent Data Centre project in Milan, Italy.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering activities from design development through construction, commissioning and handover.
• Review electrical designs, specifications and calculations, identifying design gaps, discrepancies and technical issues.
• Coordinate electrical design with BIM and construction teams to ensure solutions are practical and fully buildable.
• Manage technical submittals, equipment approvals, procurement and supplier coordination.
• Monitor electrical installation progress and complete system walkdowns to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate specialist electrical vendors throughout testing and commissioning.
• Prepare and review test packs, FTOPs and OM documentation for final handover.
• Provide technical support to site teams and work closely with clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers.
• Support pre-construction, design management, project reviews and continuous improvement activities.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

Candidate Requirements

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years' electrical project engineering experience, preferably within Data Centre or complex construction environments.
• Strong knowledge of LV and MV electrical systems.
• Previous experience delivering Data Centre, pharmaceutical, industrial or commercial projects.
• Knowledge of relevant electrical regulations and international standards.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Amtech, DIALux and Microsoft Office.
• Strong technical, commercial and stakeholder management capability.
• Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
