Job summary

MotorK is seeking a Data Architect & Engineering Lead in Lombardia to own the end-to-end data modeling architecture and the engineering practice of MotorK’s data platform. You will design data models, pipelines and warehouse architecture, while guiding a small team of two data engineers and setting technical direction.

You will work hands-on on production-grade pipelines with dbt, Airflow and Airbyte, lead architectural decisions, and partner with product, engineering and business stakeholders

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on data modeling and data architecture experience.
• Experience with cloud data warehouses (BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake or equivalent).
• Hands-on production experience with dbt, Airflow and Airbyte in real environments.
• Strong Python skills for data pipelines and tooling.
• Familiarity with modern data engineering concepts and AI trends.
• Experience with streaming technologies (Kafka a plus).
• Ability to lead engineers through mentorship, code review and architectural guidance.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end data modeling architecture across the platform.
• Define and evolve target data infrastructure architecture and roadmap.
• Bring modern data engineering practices to data estate governance.
• Manage and optimize cloud data warehouse performance and cost.
• Design and build production pipelines using dbt, Airflow and Airbyte.
• Write production Python for pipelines and tooling.
• Architect infrastructure for batch and streaming use cases.
• Incorporate agentic AI concepts into data platform architecture.
• Lead a small team of 2 data engineers; perform code reviews and mentoring.
• Raise engineering standards for quality, testing and delivery.
