The Lead Auditor is a function in DNV Business Assurance Italy with the objective of leading the audit team in performing audits/assessments according to DNV standards and protocols, international standards or equivalent national standards, and according to the established DNV methodologies/rules.

The ICT Lead Auditor for MSC is the figure who, within the Audit Group, possesses the knowledge and skills necessary to coordinate and conduct 3rd party audits (certification audits) with demonstrated experience in the ICT sector.

In the role of a Lead Auditor, you will:

• Proceed with regular auditing field activities;
• Manage relationships with clients and implement an approach of total customer focus;
• Carry out work efficiently and competently for DNV as required by instructions, Quality System, and/or formal agreements with clients;
• Ensure that the independent nature of the DNV scheme is maintained at all times;
• Maintain or acquire Auditor Registration with DNV or other recognized registration to be accepted as a Lead Auditor within DNV;
• Plan and execute audits, report findings, and conduct follow-ups within agreed timescales and budgets;
• Meet professional practice standards and demonstrate competence in core areas;
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with client personnel;
• Maintain high morale and contribute to a positive work environment;
• Act as a team player, guiding others through professional development, including timely reviews and goal setting;
• Maintain effective communication with line management, audit team members, and client stakeholders;
• Ensure the correct use of tools for auditing activities and communication of updated data to facilitate proper certification processes;
• Perform back-office tasks such as contacting customers to confirm planned activities;
• Contribute to a strong company culture emphasizing competence development;

Additional requirements include:

• Experience as a Lead Auditor on MSC-related schemes (ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 27001, ISO 20000, ISO 22301);
• Fluent Italian and good knowledge of English;
• Excellent communication, relationship management, and conflict resolution skills;
• Ability to build good relationships with customers;
• Ability to coordinate and manage an Auditor Team;
• Strong auditing skills, including mobility, flexibility, working under pressure, respecting deadlines, and maintaining client relations;
• Proficiency with basic software programs and IT tools;
• Highest levels of integrity and professionalism.
