Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Operate and monitor washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery, including adding chemicals and cleaning lint traps. Identify stained or damaged items and determine the appropriate action—repair, spot treatment, rewash, or discard. Inspect cleanliness of articles and ensure proper handling. Set dryers to appropriate times and temperatures based on fabric types. Remove lint and debris from equipment after each load. Fold cleaned articles and maintain accurate records of laundered items.

Follow all safety and security policies; report accidents or unsafe conditions; complete safety training. Maintain professional appearance and confidentiality. Develop positive relationships with colleagues and support team goals. Ensure quality standards and suggest improvements for efficiency and safety. Perform inspections and handle physical tasks such as moving objects up to 25 pounds, navigating confined spaces, and reaching different heights. Perform other duties as assigned.
