The Landfill Gas Technician duties will include, but are not limited to:
Operate and monitoring of landfill gas extraction wells on the landfill’s GCCS
Flare/Blower station operations and monitoring
GCCS condensate management
Surface emissions monitoring and reporting
Explosive gas monitoring and reporting
Landfill GCCS operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing
Pneumatic pump maintenance including removal of pumps, inspection, preventative maintenance, and repair
Operate site vehicles and equipment, including pickup trucks, and smaller equipment
Non-Routine construction repairs or maintenance including HDPE pipe fusion
Travel to locations of landfills including overnight travel
Position Requirements:
Valid driver's license in good standing
Ability to walk long distances
Must be capable of working extended hours and lifting/carrying over 50 lbs.
Ability to stand, lift, push, pull, bend and twist.
Ability to work in all weather conditions
Self-starter with the ability to work independently
Ability to work well with other technicians on a small crew or team
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Excellent communication skills
Qualifications:
Experience in Landfill Gas O&M or Environmental
Experience in mechanical, construction or landscaping
