A contemporary drug discovery company in Desio is seeking a Laboratory Technician with a Degree in Biology, Biotechnology, or Pharmacology. Descrizione del lavoro

You'll perform laboratory experiments, analyse tissues and body fluids, blood tests, immunological, and molecular biological analyses. You'll maintain laboratory equipment, organise screening material, and perform all laboratory tests following strict control and safety protocols.

Due to the hazardous nature of the substances present in a veterinarian laboratory, along with the need to keep the analysis environment aseptic, this role requires special care in following strict safety protocols and using personal protective equipment (PPE), such as gloves, gowns, and protective goggles.

In addition, you'll:

• Prepare equipment and materials to conduct experiments (solutions, calibration, and validation of reading machines)

Perform qualitative and quantitative analyses on material samples.

Discuss results and additional tests required with the Senior Technician.

Qualifications / Experience

You're either a Laboratory Technician or a Laboratory Researcher, with a Degree in Biology, Biotechnology, or Pharmacology.

You have strong experience in laboratory practices, such as analysis and testing activities, or calibration, maintenance, and sterilisation of equipment.

You respect people and animals. You're able to work well alone under instructions from the Senior Laboratory Technician. You have strong attention to detail and adhere to strict control and safety protocols. You're a team-player, flexible, supportive, and willing to help colleagues.

Good communication skills are essential; you're fluent in Italian and can read and write in English.

This role is offered as a 9-12 months fixed-term contract, with potential extension.

This is a full-time position, working 8 hours a day, 5 days a week (either 08:30-17:00 or 09:30-18:00), with some overtime required.

We're based in Desio MB.

Salary of €29,110. The applicable CBA is "Contratto Chimico-Farmaceutico".
