Overview

Labor & Employment Associate role for Squire Patton Boggs. We are seeking an Associate 2+ PQE with a minimum of 1 year of professional experience handling and advising on labour law matters, including contexts related to M&A transactions. Excellent academic background and fluency in English are required; knowledge of a second language is desirable. The role involves working in a diverse and varied environment within our Labor & Employment Practice.

Responsibilities

• Handle and advise on labour and employment matters across a spectrum of HR and labour law issues, including contentious and non-contentious work.
• Contribute to projects such as developing global policies and procedures, handling disciplinary, restructuring and dismissal issues, and supporting M&A transactions.
• Render legal advice and opinions, manage day-to-day correspondence, participate in contract negotiations, and monitor contract performance.
• Collaborate on international projects and work with networked colleagues and clients worldwide.
• Contribute to innovation and technology initiatives within the practice, including LegalTech projects where applicable.

Qualifications

• 2+ PQE with a minimum of 1 year of professional experience in handling and advising on labour law matters.
• Attorney-at-law certification.
• Proactive, communicative, and organized with the ability to coordinate multitasking.
• Fluency in English, including legal terminology; proficiency in a second language is desirable.
• MS Office literacy.
