YOUR ROLE

Our partner, a leading company in the industrial automation and packaging sector, is looking for a Labellers Automation Engineer to join the Service Engineering Department at their Mantova site.

The selected candidate will be involved in automation activities related to the company’s portfolio and will act as a point of reference for the local automation team, reporting directly to the designated Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the development of service automation software (standard and safety) until field test and customer support.
  • Manage and develop software modifications (standard and safety) to implement improvements on installed machines, until field test and customer support.
  • Respect guidelines & rules in software development.
  • Work closely with the hardware team and the PLC/HMI team.
  • Produce all technical documentation related to the software, including a working description of the developed upgrade.
  • Have a thorough understanding of PLC/HMI design.

Education:

  • Graduate, Bachelor, Master Degree, or equivalent.

Computer Skills:

  • Proficient in MS Office, Outlook.
  • SAP knowledge.

Language requirements:

  • Good written and spoken English.

Required experience and skills:

  • Knowledge of SIDEL Labellers (Standalone and Super Combi).
  • Knowledge of PLC platforms (Siemens S7 and TIA Portal, B&R, ELAU, Schneider).
  • Knowledge of HMI (Copadata Zenon), Motion platforms (Danfoss, ELAU, B&R), Codesys (ELAU, Schneider, B&R).
  • Ability to manage and satisfy customer requests.
  • Skills to meet deadlines, commitments, and problem-solving.
  • Positive attitude, cooperation, and good interpersonal skills.
  • Rigor, integrity, autonomy, and organization.
  • Desire to learn.
  • Availability to travel.
