Position Overview

You will partner closely with an investment team to help connect fundamental research with data analysis and software solutions. Your projects will span both on-premises and AWS environments, leveraging technologies such as Kafka, Spark, cloud warehouses, and data lakes, and employing programming languages like Java, Python, and SQL.

Responsibilities

1. Work alongside a portfolio manager and analysts to explore and implement AI and machine learning applications within the team’s investment strategy.
2. Develop quantitative insights to support the investment team in generating investment ideas.
3. Create tools and infrastructure to support and enhance the team’s quantitative efforts.
4. Integrate and process compliance-approved data (structured and unstructured).

Qualifications

We seek an individual with intellectual curiosity, a creative problem-solving approach, and an entrepreneurial mindset. The ideal candidate is proactive, a self-starter, and able to lead projects independently. Prior experience in finance is not required. Key qualifications include:

1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
2. Proficiency in SQL and Python (e.g., Pandas, PySpark).
3. Interest in Generative AI technology.
4. Experience with cloud platforms, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, Linux, Airflow, Databricks, Spark.
5. Strong analytical skills and adaptability to rapid change.
6. Commitment to high ethical standards.
