  • The Job's Mission
  • As a Kit Operations & Logistics Manager, your responsibility will be to manage the Kit Operations & Logistics team and oversee the performance of global logistics functions in Italy, including:

    • The Regional Distribution Centre
    • Outsourced logistics platforms
    • Kits inspection and Kit Building area
    • Demo and Education service

    The goal is to deliver a Best-in-Class customer-focused end-to-end operation, ensuring high availability and service levels while maintaining inventory and costs within budget/forecast.

    This role involves managing existing facilities, as well as transformation projects and volume growth initiatives.

  • Your key responsibilities
    • Support the Customer Logistics strategy for Iberia, reviewing processes, procedures, methods, and tools to meet departmental performance objectives.
    • Manage a local logistics budget ranging from 6.3 to 8 million euros.
    • Develop logistics area strategy within Italy Operations.
    • Build relationships with external and internal customers, aligning with the Country Manager and Customer Logistics goals.
    • Collaborate with other functions to leverage opportunities across areas.
    • Participate in European Operations projects to implement world-class logistics and customer care operations, enhancing customer satisfaction, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
    • Manage the logistics team, sourcing and developing talent to meet business expectations.
    • Set and monitor logistics KPIs such as inventory accuracy, stock levels, on-time in-full delivery, productivity, efficiency, and quality.
    • Optimize transportation solutions, review contracts, and maintain relationships with third-party transporters.
    • Manage logistics budget, including headcounts, freight, and instrumentation reuse, providing cost justifications for resources.
    • Handle regulatory actions, product holds, recalls, etc.
    • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 15001 standards, maintaining documented processes and data accuracy.
    • Adhere to Stryker policies and compliance programs.
    • Coordinate with sales, RA/QA, finance, and other functions to achieve key activities at various organizational levels.
    • Oversee the entire Warehouse and Kit Operations, including goods-in, goods-out, and customer returns.
    • Lead a team of approximately 16 staff members.
    • Measure success through operational and financial KPIs such as service metrics, cost reductions, freight costs, budget adherence, team engagement, and process improvements.
  • What are we looking for?
    • Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in Engineering or Logistics
    • At least 10 years of experience in manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain within international companies, preferably in manufacturing sites
    • Experience in medical devices and/or pharmaceutical companies
    • Minimum 5 years of managerial experience
    • Deep knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies
    • Excellent communication skills in Italian and English, both spoken and written

    Note: Interviews will be conducted in both Italian and English.
