Leva in Turin seeks a hands-on mechanical design engineer to create reliable kinetic installations. You will translate creative concepts into manufacturable systems, prototype rapidly, and collaborate with fabrication and motion-control specialists.

The role spans from concept to full-scale testing and commissioning, with mid- or senior-level expectations based on system ownership. You will work directly with suppliers to source components, produce manufacturing drawings and BOMs, and validate

Competenze

• Experience taking mechanisms through concept, detailed design, prototyping, testing, and release.
• Strong 3D CAD skills with Fusion 360 or Inventor and comparable platforms.
• Practical understanding of kinematics, mechanisms, motion transmission, tolerances and interfaces.
• Experience producing manufacturing-ready drawings, specs, and BOMs.
• Sound DFM/DFA and manufacturing-process selection across CNC, sheet metal, welding, additive manufacturing, etc.

Mansioni

• Translate requirements into mechanical concepts, layouts, and first-order structural calculations.
• Own mechanisms from concept through prototyping, testing, and release.
• Design structures, motion-transmission systems, links, guides, drive mechanisms, tooling, and fixtures.
• Identify risks and define tests or prototypes to validate assumptions.
• Collaborate with suppliers to source components and ensure manufacturability and quality.
• Produce clear manufacturing drawings and accurate BOMs for fabrication and assembly.
• Build and test prototypes using workshop processes and diagnose failures for design improvements.
• Support assembly, installation, and commissioning, define mechanical acceptance criteria.
