KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER – ENGINEERING CONSULTING, CONSUMER ELECTRONICS DOMAIN

Overview:
For a key project in Lombardia, Milan area, we seek an experienced Key Account Manager to develop and manage a strategic partnership with a major Client in the Consumer Electronics domain, focusing on supporting the Client with qualified Product Testing and Validation engineering operations.
The ideal candidate will oversee Client relationship management, business development, and ensure the successful delivery of engineering operations, meeting both Client satisfaction and business targets.
Role Responsibilities:
- Manage relationships with operational Client personnel.
- Build and grow a substantial portfolio, driving revenue within the assigned account through the full Opportunity Management cycle: Prospect, Evaluate, Propose, Close.
- Identify business opportunities, present concepts to clients, and influence additional business based on demonstrated capabilities.
- Conduct research, map the account and competitors, deliver client presentations, prepare estimates, proposals, and negotiate.
- Collaborate with the Delivery Manager to address infrastructure or personnel issues affecting project delivery.
- Manage multiple projects with different delivery managers or resources.
- Drive revenue through Go-to-market solutions within the account scope.
- Work with Solutions Leaders to develop customized solutions and drive their delivery and revenue.
- Lead Account Planning and Governance, including planning, selling, delivering, and managing the account.
- Develop detailed Account Plans, including relationship mapping, opportunity tracking, revenue targets, threats, and weaknesses.
- Make pricing decisions within the scope of the Master Services Agreement.
- Support pre-sales activities for new business outside the current scope.
- Build future alliances with relevant product vendors.
- Create and execute sales plans prioritizing prospects and opportunities.
- Drive service offerings and capabilities to increase revenue.
- Ensure profitable pricing and meet financial targets.
Work Experience & Skills:
- Minimum 6+ years of experience in sales, relationship management, or account management.
- Experience managing accounts worth $4-6 million is desirable.
- Knowledge of vertical-specific and software development domains.
- Strong background in engineering services sales and business development.
- Experience in proposal creation, leading cross-functional teams, and delivering presentations.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience managing complex, consultative sales processes.
- Proficiency in sales and executive management presentations.
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with CRM software to manage campaigns.
- Experience working with a global delivery model and dispersed teams.
- Technical acumen with end-to-end sales, delivery, and transition experience, capable of providing high-level solutions.
- Motivated self-starter requiring minimal supervision.
- Ability to build trust and forge relationships internally and externally.
