Job Description :

Spin Master is a leading global children's entertainment company, creating exceptional play experiences through its three creative centres: Toys, Entertainment, and Digital Games. With distribution in over 100 countries, Spin Master is best known for award-winning brands PAW Patrol, Bakugan, Kinetic Sand, Air Hogs, Hatchimals, Rubik’s Cube, and GUND, and is the global toy licensee for other popular properties.

What will you work on?

The Key Account Manager is the lead point of contact for all matters specific to their customers. They are responsible for building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships, overseeing customer account management, including negotiating contracts and agreements to maximize profit.

How will you create impact?

  • Developing annual business plans that deliver upon company goals and meet customer needs
  • Delivering product presentations, business proposals, and ad plans to customers on time
  • Understanding customer timelines and proactively providing customers with all information and materials required to make decisions and manage business effectively
  • Working with support teams to develop forecasts that reflect market realities; updating forecasts as required, on a monthly basis at minimum
  • Reviewing actual performance timely and effectively to ensure goals are achieved and adjusting plans as necessary
  • Managing customer-specific budgets and updating Salesforce
  • Analyzing sell-through data and market intelligence to maximize business opportunities while minimizing risk
  • Communicating clearly and efficiently with customers; providing fast solutions to challenges
  • Working proactively and effectively with team members to deliver the best possible customer service
  • Working in a team environment, providing feedback and coaching to your account management team
  • Gaining a thorough understanding of all account business objectives and marketing plans by establishing multi-level and cross-functional contacts within your account portfolio
  • Developing innovative sales and marketing-led account plans to maximize performance within each account
  • Coordinating trade marketing and marketing activities within your accounts to ensure delivery of planned volume, distribution, and profit targets
  • Maximizing account profitability through strategic business planning, including volume, revenue, margin, and promotional work, utilizing data for category solutions
  • Working closely with accounts to gain joint agreement on sales growth objectives while managing each account's selection process
  • Negotiating at senior levels to ensure long-term supply agreements and marketing mix optimization
  • Forecasting accurately and working with planning teams to ensure timely stock delivery to accounts
  • Maintaining flexibility regarding accounts managed
  • Actively working as part of a team to create a solutions-oriented culture, leading by example
  • Maintaining and further developing strong commercial and personal relationships between Spin Master Italia and the account base, ensuring Spin Master Italia remains a preferred supplier

What are your skills and experience?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related area
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, toy industry background preferred
  • Successful experience managing a business portfolio with a national retailer, toy retailer preferred
  • Retail experience at store level or retail planning experience is an asset
  • Customer-driven approach and a “go-getter” attitude
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships, externally and internally
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); Salesforce is an asset
  • Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills
  • Goal-oriented with self-motivation, persistence, and determination to achieve targets
  • Ability to create and maintain business presentations, Excel files, and read POS reports
  • Able to travel; full clean driving license required
