Job Description :

Spin Master is a leading global children's entertainment company, creating exceptional play experiences through its three creative centres: Toys, Entertainment, and Digital Games. With distribution in over 100 countries, Spin Master is best known for award-winning brands such as PAW Patrol, Bakugan, Kinetic Sand, Air Hogs, Hatchimals, Rubik’s Cube, and GUND, and is the global toy licensee for other popular properties.

What will you work on?

The Key Account Manager is the lead point of contact for all matters specific to their customers. They are responsible for building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships, overseeing customer account management, including negotiating contracts and agreements to maximize profit.

How will you create impact?

  • Developing annual business plans that deliver upon company goals and meet customer needs
  • Delivering product presentations, business proposals, and ad plans to customers on time
  • Understanding customer timelines and proactively providing all necessary information and materials to facilitate decision-making and effective business management
  • Working with support teams to develop forecasts that reflect market realities; updating forecasts monthly as a minimum
  • Reviewing actual performance regularly to ensure goals are achieved and adjusting plans as needed
  • Managing customer-specific budgets and updating Salesforce accordingly
  • Analyzing sell-through data and market intelligence to maximize opportunities and minimize risks
  • Communicating clearly and efficiently with customers; providing quick solutions to challenges
  • Working proactively and effectively with team members to deliver excellent customer service
  • Providing feedback and coaching to your account management team
  • Gaining a thorough understanding of all account business objectives and marketing plans through multi-level and cross-functional contacts
  • Developing innovative sales and marketing-led account plans to maximize performance within each account
  • Coordinating trade marketing and marketing activities to ensure delivery of volume, distribution, and profit targets
  • Maximizing account profitability through strategic planning, promotional work, and data analysis
  • Negotiating at senior levels to ensure long-term supply agreements and marketing mix optimization
  • Ensuring accurate forecasting and working closely with planning teams for timely stock delivery
  • Being flexible regarding accounts managed
  • Actively contributing to a solution-oriented team culture
  • Maintaining and developing strong commercial and personal relationships with the account base, ensuring Spin Master remains a preferred supplier

What are your skills and experience?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related area
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, toy industry background preferred
  • Successful management of a business portfolio with a national retailer, toy retailer preferred
  • Retail experience at store level or in retail planning is an asset
  • Customer-driven approach and a proactive attitude
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships internally and externally
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); Salesforce experience is an asset
  • Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills
  • Goal-oriented with self-motivation, persistence, and determination
  • Ability to create and maintain business presentations, Excel files, and read POS reports
  • Able to travel; full clean driving license required
