We are seeking a skilled and experienced Head of Legal Shared Services for Italy and Switzerland to join our team on a temporary basis to cover a maternity leave.

Your Opportunity :

This is an excellent opportunity to lead and manage all legal operations within these countries for a defined period, providing comprehensive legal support and ensuring compliance with local laws. You will play a crucial role in driving efficiency in legal processes across multiple areas and safeguarding the company's legal interests.

The role requires a deep understanding of corporate law, contract management, regulatory requirements, and risk mitigation strategies. Responsibilities include managing a team of legal professionals, coordinating with external counsel, advising business units on legal matters, and implementing best practices for legal shared services.

The Head of Legal Shared Services will play a critical role in safeguarding the company’s legal interests while fostering a proactive and compliant business environment.

How you will contribute
  • Lead and manage the legal shared services team for Italy and Switzerland;
  • Provide legal advice, consultancy and assistance to various departments (Sales / Operations Procurement / Facility and General Services / IT, etc.);
  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international laws and regulations;
  • Draft, analyze, and negotiate all types of contracts (in Italian and English) relating to the activities of the above departments: Supply and Sub-supply contracts; Commercial contracts; Procurement / logistics contracts; General services contracts; IT services contracts.
  • Manage disputes and litigations;
  • Analyze issues, conduct research, and prepare opinions;
  • Legal monitoring, drafting notes;
  • Coordinate with external legal counsel and manage legal budgets;
  • Oversee the training and coordination of a team of 3;
  • Implement processes and contract models;
  • Ensure compliance with 231 models;
  • Drive continuous improvement in legal service delivery and efficiency;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align legal strategies with business goals.
Who You Are :
  • Law degree;
  • Significant prior experience gained in-house, with a solid background in drafting commercial agreements;
  • Experience managing legal shared services or centralized legal functions;
  • In-depth knowledge of Italian and Swiss legal systems;
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective work relationships with all levels of internal and external colleagues. Strong interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to maintain sustained efficiency and effectiveness in performance, particularly when under pressure and with a heavy workload;
  • Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy;
  • Rigorous, organized, with good management of priorities and deadlines;
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills;
  • Fluency in English and Italian; knowledge of French is a plus.
