We are recruiting a consultant to join our International Trade & Customs team in Rome, who will be tasked with:

• Tax due diligence related to VAT and customs check-ups;
• Advisory services in VAT, excise duties, and customs duties;
• Research and drafting of opinions and memos on indirect taxes and VAT, both at the national level and in international matters.

Come As You Are - Your skills and characteristics

This is the perfect opportunity for you if:

• 1-2 years of experience in a consulting firm or tax law firm;
• Experience in VAT compliance (VAT returns, LI.PE, Intrastat);
• Excellent command of written and spoken English;
• Master’s degree in law or economics;
• Qualification to practice as a lawyer or chartered accountant, or willingness to obtain such qualifications.

Candidates with the following will have an advantage:

• Previous experience in VAT matters, both in advisory and compliance activities;
• Ability to stay up to date with regulatory changes;
• Strong motivation for the profession;
• Availability, flexibility, and proactivity;
• Ability to work in a team and collaborate with other teams across the firm’s offices.
