RINA is currently recruiting for a Junior Sustainability Engineer to join its office in Genova or Milano, Italy within the Sustainability and Business Innovation Division.

Mission

The Resource Efficiency and Management Unit of RINA is seeking a highly motivated candidate to support the team in managing and developing projects and proposals for International Financing Institutions (EBRD, EIB, WB, etc.).

The successful candidate will have a passion for energy transition and the green economy sectors, strong project management skills, good communication skills, and an excellent teamwork attitude.

Key Accountabilities

• Assist the Project Manager in running projects for International Financing Institutions in the fields of energy transition, SME (small and medium enterprises) competitiveness, gender parity, and green finance;
• Interact actively with clients to deliver projects and identify / develop commercial opportunities;
• Support the elaboration and revision of technical reports related to Green Financing and SME competitiveness;
• Coordinate with local and international consultants to ensure quality standards across projects;
• Develop new project opportunities, prepare technical proposals, and estimate costs;
• Support overall project management in line with client requests;
• Stay updated on regulations and best practices related to product quality, safety, environment, and health and safety of SMEs.

Experience

• Passion for and interest in the energy transition field and gender empowerment, especially within a just transition context.
• Excellent communication skills in Italian and English, both oral and written; knowledge of a third language is a plus.
• Ability to write well-structured, concise, and reasoned reports, proposals, and documents.
• Availability for short business trips within and outside the EU. #LI-MP3
• Proficiency in Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Strong team player with excellent communication skills.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Economics or Engineering (General).
