What are your responsibilities as Software Test Automation Engineer?

You will immediately get exposure to a variety of technologies, development teams, tools, and processes. As a part of the team, you will assess software quality through manual and automated testing. You will be responsible for finding and reporting bugs and glitches. In this role, you should have a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills. As a Software Test Automation Engineer who is passionate about testing, you will be working with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

Our core software engineering department is based in Lucca where all the teams are working closely together in developing our products for our major industries such as banking, insurance, automotive and food and beverage. Every team consists of a Software Test Automation engineer and 5/6 software engineers. We strongly believe in the Agile way of working and the Scrum methodology has really been embedded in our daily work. We leverage teamwork, self-organization and proactivity as the best solution comes from collective intelligence and collaborative decision making.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing software requirements and preparing test scenarios
  • Executing manual tests according to a test plan
  • Conducting exploratory testing
  • Writing automation scripts using existing framework/tools
  • Participating in backlog refinements and providing input on requirements, product design, and potential problems
  • Helping troubleshoot issues
  • Contribute to push for approaches that drive quality and productivity.

What will you bring to CCH Tagetik part of Wolters Kluwer?

You must have:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or equivalent field
  • Working experience in software test design and testing methodologies
  • Working experience in writing and executing complex test plans (functional, non-functional, regression, integration, performance)
  • Experience with scripting and/or programming languages
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Eagerness to learn new things and strong collaboration skills and willingness to work in a highly collaborative environment.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to build positive working relationships.
  • Ability to resolve well known cases independently and to ask for help when not confident
  • Fluency in Italian and working knowledge of English.

It is better if you also have:

  • Experience testing REST/SOAP endpoints
  • Experience with E2E testing frameworks (e.g. Selenium/Cypress)
  • Experience with Test Automation tools (e.g. Robot Framework/Locust)
  • Experience with database technologies (SQL or NoSQL)
  • Experience in programming with Java, C# or Python
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies
  • Exposure to the microservices architecture
