Junior Process Engineer - Hydra Project (H2 DRP Plant)

RINA is recruiting a Junior Process Engineer to join its office in Rome within the Mechanical and Materials Engineering Division.

Mission

Support commissioning and daily operations of the Direct Reduction Plant (DRP), part of a green steel process based on hydrogen (H₂). Develop and update standard operating procedures and contribute to OPEX-related KPIs and continuous improvement.

Key Accountabilities
  • Assist during commissioning and ramp-up phases.
  • Support day-to-day process engineering activities on the DRP plant.
  • Help define, review, and maintain operating procedures and technical documentation.
  • Contribute to process optimization initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency and reducing operational costs.
  • Analyze process data and performance indicators to support improvements.
  • Collaborate with teams including R&D, Operations, HSE, and Maintenance in a multidisciplinary environment.
Education

Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering.

Qualifications
  • 0-2 years of experience, preferably in industrial or plant engineering (experience with plant contractors is a plus).
  • Interest in green technologies and hydrogen-based processes.
