ISTITUTO ITALIANO DI TECNOLOGIA in Genova seeks a proactive IP and Technology Transfer Specialist to join a multidisciplinary team. You will assess invention disclosures, conduct prior art searches, and draft patent applications in Italy and abroad, collaborating with inventors and patent attorneys.

The role requires a Master’s degree in Medicinal Chemistry or related field, fluency in Italian and English, and strong organizational skills to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technology or related fields.
• Fluent command of spoken and written Italian and English.
• Proficiency with Word and Excel.
• Ability to work independently across geographies in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Strong time management and problem-solving skills to manage multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Technical understanding of invention disclosures to identify potentially patentable subject-matter.
• Prior art searches to assess patentability of IIT’s technologies.
• Collaborate with inventors and patent attorneys to draft and file patent applications in Italy and abroad.
• Support assessment of the economic value of IIT’s IP assets.
• Assist in designing strategies for protection and exploitation of IIT’s Intellectual Property.
