Role description:

Arcadis is seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer to assist our Engineering & Construction team. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary design team throughout all project phases, from preliminary or concept design to execution, ensuring project completion within deadlines and according to client requests.

The team will provide you with design and control skills, along with experience in verifying project execution status, fostering collaboration and team spirit.

We are looking for a passionate colleague eager to support daily operations and deepen their knowledge in the field.

Role accountabilities:

  • Support feasibility studies, preliminary, final, and executive design of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for civil and industrial buildings;
  • Coordinate with different disciplines for integrated design approaches;
  • Collaborate with Arcadis Excellence Center for detailed design;
  • Monitor, verify, and review technical documents and graphics produced by third parties;
  • Assist in project development using BIM software such as REVIT;
  • Contribute to technical reports, project specifications, Legge 10 reports, and energy certifications;
  • Participate in due diligence activities and technical appraisals;
  • Support energy modeling using calculation software.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Strong interest in mechanical systems for buildings;
  • Approximately 2 years of relevant work experience;
  • Master’s degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering;
  • Proficiency in English (B2 / C1);
  • Good knowledge of software such as Revit and AutoCAD;
  • Thorough understanding of BIM methodology;
  • Basic knowledge of technical legislation for ventilation, plumbing, drainage, and energy consumption (regional and national regulations);
  • Team-oriented attitude and willingness to learn from senior colleagues;
  • Proactive and positive mindset;
  • Ability to maintain productivity during remote work scenarios.
