EssilorLuxottica is seeking a motivated Junior Mechanical Design & Digital Innovation Engineer to join the Agordo engineering team. You will develop metal components, manage 3D CAD models, and drive digital tools to improve efficiency and support digital transformation.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Manufacturing and Industrialization, with a strong focus on automation, AI-based initiatives, and continuous improvement across engineering workflows.

Competenze

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant technical field.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD and mechanical design principles.
• Interest in digitalization, automation, and AI technologies.
• Good command of English.
• Experience with Python, VBA, Matlab is a plus.

Your Role

We are looking for a motivated and curious graduate passionate about both mechanical design and digital innovation. As part of the Engineering team in Agordo, you will contribute to the development of metal products and components while driving digitalization initiatives, automation projects, and AI-based solutions aimed at improving engineering efficiency and supporting the digital transformation of the organization.

Main Responsibilities

• Design and develop metal components and assemblies, ensuring technical feasibility and product quality.
• Create and manage 3D CAD models and technical drawings.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing and Industrialization teams throughout the product development process.
• Contribute to product improvement and engineering development projects.
• Develop and implement digital tools to enhance engineering efficiency and daily operations.
• Drive process digitalization and automation initiatives within the Engineering function.
• Explore, test, and promote AI-based solutions applicable to engineering activities.
• Support digital transformation projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify innovative solutions and optimize workflows.
• Contribute to the evolution of engineering processes through digital technologies and innovation.

Main Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical disciplines.
• Knowledge of 3D CAD software and mechanical design principles.
• Strong interest in digitalization, automation, and Artificial Intelligence technologies.
• Good command of English.
• Formula SAE experience or participation in similar technical projects is considered a plus.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, VBA, Matlab, or similar is a plus.
• Curiosity, creativity, and passion for innovation.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
• Team-oriented attitude and strong interest in continuous improvement.
