Position

Junior General Ledger Accountant. This is a 1-year fixed-term contract.

What you will be doing

• Control and manage the accuracy of the General Ledger for the assigned Arrow companies.
• Complete all relevant month-end close procedures, including accruals and prepayments.
• Carry out relevant Sarbanes-Oxley controls.
• Control and prepare VAT, Intrastat and Sales List reporting, submission of VAT returns and related compliance.
• Support the Accounts Payable team with posting invoices.
• Prepare variance analysis for the above activities.
• Support other accountants within the team to meet the total needs of the finance department.
• Provide support and assistance to the Accounting Manager on projects and ad-hoc tasks.
• Manage other staff where appropriate.

What we are looking for

• 1+ years of experience in all-round accounting.
• Very good knowledge of general accounting and reporting processes.
• Fluent English and Italian language skills.
• Familiarity with Oracle and Hyperion systems.
• Medium / advanced knowledge of Excel.
• Experience with accruals, prepayments, VAT, and balance sheet reconciliation.
• Advanced Excel and data manipulation skills.
