Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Junior Fire Safety Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Pistoia - IT.

Accountabilities

• Ability on the use of the fire safety requirement management with DOORS;
• Management of Fire Safety documentation;
• Collaborate with the sub-project groups (internal and external) and ensure the development of the assigned project part;
• Be the referent for internal and/or external resources involved in fire safety design project team and will be responsible for coordinating the whole team.

Required Skills/ Knowledge

• Ability to perform the aforementioned tasks as described in section above;
• Degree in mechanical engineering or diploma in Technical Institute with a specialisation in Mechanics;
• Availability for short domestic and overseas trips.

Desired Skills/ Knowledge

• Knowledge of EN45545 standard;
• Knowledge on TSI;
• Analytic approach;
• Team-working attitude;
• Flexibility;
• Result orientation;
• Experience in railway vehicles projects.

Education / Qualifications
Degree in mechanical engineering or diploma in Technical Institute with a specialisation in Mechanics.

Languages
Knowledge of written and spoken English at least B2 level.
