Due to significant commercial growth in this sector, WSP’s Power & Energy Services Team is looking to strengthen its capabilities by hiring a Junior Environmental Engineer. The position is based in one of our offices in Rome, Turin, Milan, Rende,Pisa, Padova.

YOUR NEW ROLE, WHATS INVOLVED?
As an entry-level engineer, you will perform routine tasks that apply established engineering principles and contribute to portions of larger assignments by following prescribed methods.
Your responsibilities will include collecting and analyzing data, supporting the development of designs, reports, and technical studies, and performing basic calculations, simulations, and preliminary analyses under the guidance of senior team members.
You will also use engineering software tools as directed and assist in preparing material requisitions, specifications, and related documentation.
Collaboration with other technical staff is essential, as you will help track project progress and support the verification of project control documents.
This role provides valuable hands-on experience and lays a strong foundation for your professional development within a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
WHAT IF IT WAS YOU?
We are looking for a Junior Environmental Engineer with at least one year of experience and a degree in Environmental Engineering, ideally with a specialization in renewable energy. A solid understanding of regulatory codes, design standards, and layout criteria relevant to the field is essential.
You should be familiar with constraint analysis at national, regional, and local levels, as well as with key topics such as hydrology, geology, and geotechnical engineering. Previous experience supporting Environmental Impact Assessments and conducting landscape analysis will be considered a strong asset.
Proficiency in software tools such as AutoCAD, GIS, and the Microsoft Office suite is required; experience with BIM platforms is a plus.
This position is ideal for someone who is growing into a consultant or designer role, capable of delivering high-quality work within scope, schedule, and budget. You will work under the supervision of senior engineers and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary technical teams.
We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, a proactive attitude, and the willingness to take on a variety of tasks. The ability to accept feedback and apply it constructively is key. You should demonstrate both technical and interpersonal potential, manage your workload effectively, and begin building a professional network within the organization to support your development.
Fluency in both Italian and English is essential.

You will join the Power & Energy Services team , a multidisciplinary group engaged in engineering and consultancy services within the energy and renewables sectors. The team works on complex national and international projects, supporting clients throughout all design and construction phases. You’ll collaborate with engineers, consultants and project managers across disciplines and geographies, in an environment that fosters technical excellence and continuous learning.
