Job summary

Danone in Milan invites applications for a VIE position within the Demand Planning Team in the Supply Chain division. You will work with multiple departments to sharpen analytical skills and reveal competitive market insights for dairy and ambient products.

You’ll support daily demand planning activities and key projects, learning to balance service levels with efficiency. You will forecast short- and long-term demand using historical data and inputs from sales, marketing, and category teams,

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Economics or Management Engineering or similar.
• Problem solving and entrepreneurial thinking.
• Structured and analytical way of working.
• Relational skills and flexibility.
• SAP knowledge will be a plus.
• Excel and PowerPoint knowledge.
• Fluent in English and ideally in Italian.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with several company departments to develop analytical skills and understand competitive dynamics of the dairy & ambient products market.
• Support the Demand Planning team in day-to-day activities and projects.
• Prepare short- and long-term forecast based on historical data and input from the top line team (sales, marketing, category).
• Manage forecast activities using the IBP tool (master data, promo events, phase-in/phase-out products).
• Analyze tool output to identify the most appropriate forecasting algorithm.
• Ensure high forecast accuracy to balance zero waste and high customer service level.
• Interface with supply planning to anticipate issues that affect service and waste.
• Prepare and present all reporting for the demand planning team to support daily activities.
• Collaborate with the finance dept to support the GPS process.
• Analyze data, derive insights, and fuel TopLine growth ideas.
