Make a difference as Junior Breeder

As a Junior Breeder, your main goal is to develop into a successful breeder in your assigned crop. Your main tasks are:

1. Translate breeding targets into operational breeding plans
2. Support plant and line selections during key breeding stages
3. Keep detailed records throughout breeding cycles
4. Assist in decisions on material advancement and planning of trials
5. Learn to hand over R3 material to Seed Production and register in the system (e.g., Varmas)
6. Implement new technologies and traits into the breeding program

You will be part of a local breeding team, directly reporting to the Senior Breeder, with whom you will work closely. You’ll operate at an operational level within a defined country scope.

What you bring as a future colleague

• Bachelor of Science (HBO/Bachelor level) in a relevant field
• Proficiency in English and the local language, both written and verbal
• High attention to detail and organizational skills
• Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Resilience to work under different weather and climate conditions
• Openness to feedback and close supervision
