Why This Role Is Right for You

As an Analyst Developer, you’ll join a collaborative and forward-thinking team based in Italy. Together, we work on ensuring the correct maintenance, upgrades, and evolution of all systems and applications operating on the Stratus System, adhering to standards and methodologies for continuous organizational development.

The developer will also work on customizing the entire application landscape related to the payment authorization system and its associated systems for Risk Management and Pre-Paid Cards Portals; conducting analysis, development, and implementation of new applications and/or updates to existing ones.

About Your Future Role

In this position, you will :

• Gather technical specifications, design the application and/or update it, code using COBOL, and support its implementation.
• Provide application support for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and System Integration Testing (SIT) on designed applications.
• Support the installation and production of new applications, including creating relevant documentation.
• Integrate software applications in accordance with the enhancements to International Payment Circuits.
• Work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to define SLAs.

What Makes You a Great Fit

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience as an Analyst Developer/Programmer in COBOL, with specific experience working on payment scheme systems, whether on acquiring, issuing, or settlement systems, preferably in a STRATUS VOS environment.

They should also be comfortable interfacing with stakeholders, both internal and external, and be results-driven, self-motivated, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.

Essential Qualifications :

• Good knowledge and experience of COBOL.
• Experience as an Analyst Developer, including defining issues, designing solutions, developing, and implementing them.
• Knowledge of Payment Cards messaging protocols (ISO8583, Swift, etc).
• Experience in Financial Services, Banking, FinTech, or monetary service providers.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills in both Italian and English.
• Results-driven, object-oriented, and able to work autonomously and collaboratively.

Bonus Skills :

• Knowledge and experience of STRATUS or VOS is highly advantageous.
• Knowledge of Java or C.
