Overview

IT Specialist (m / f / d) - Communication and Information Center (kiz), Information Systems Department

Scope: Full-time

Fixed term: unlimited

Remuneration: TV-L EG 9a

Start: at the earliest possible date

For the Communication and Information Center, Information Systems Department, we are looking for an IT specialist (m / f / d).

With around 140 employees, kiz is the second largest central institution at Ulm University and provides library, information technology and media services for research, teaching, studies and administration.

The Information Systems department operates the application systems for the university administration, the systems for e-learning and the library services of the kiz and develops or implements IT applications as part of projects.

You can expect an exciting and varied position with independent tasks in the scientific field.

Your profile
  • Completed training as an IT specialist or a comparable qualification
  • detailed knowledge of SQL databases and the OpenOffice programming interface
  • Detailed knowledge of the programming, query and page description languages HTML, XHTML, XML, XSLT, XSL-FO
  • basic knowledge of IP networks (TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP, Ethernet), Linux, Java & Javascript
  • Basic knowledge of English to understand operating instructions in English and for contact with English-speaking users
  • Very good knowledge of written and spoken German (C1)
  • Ability to work in a team, under pressure, independent working style and strong communication skills
Your tasks
  • Creating programmatically generated print products, serial messages (e-mails), reports and lists in the HISinOne APP, STU, EXA, RES and DOC modules or migration from HiS QiS
  • Analyzing and rectifying faults and errors using modern diagnostic systems (Linux system monitoring, HIS log files, database editor)
  • Coordinating and carrying out extensive tests after installing updates or troubleshooting measures
  • Correction of errors through independent escalation to HIS support
  • 2nd Lvl Support
  • Support in the implementation of the requirements for the IT system resulting from the defined target processes
  • Implementation of new user requirements and changes to the system, as well as technical and organizational measures for system security
  • Support with the technical implementation and further development of the HIO system
