A global distributor is seeking a Technical Sales Manager for Food Ingredients in Italy. This home-office-based role involves business development for food ingredients, extensive customer relationships, trials, and collaboration with international suppliers. For an international Food Ingredients Distributor, we are looking for a

Technical Sales Manager Food Ingredients

You will sell Food Ingredients to the Food and Beverage Industry in Italy. The position will be home office-based. You will be responsible for the business development of a selection of food ingredients in different branches of the food industry.

Tasks

  • Analysis of the market and the product range of our suppliers to find new potentials
  • Responsible for making market strategy, purchasing, and selling of assigned product groups in Italy
  • Building a close relationship with our suppliers and customers
  • Visits of customers, analysis of their needs, creation of value propositions
  • Participation in production trials at the customer / implementation of small-scale trials in the application kitchen
  • Project management in close cooperation with the responsible Customer Service Manager
  • Alignment of the sales strategy for the product groups of the suppliers with the help of the Category Managers and the Country Manager
  • You will benefit from numerous pieces of training (internal and abroad) every year
  • Discover and understand customer’s needs and develop tailor-made solutions
  • Conduct lab, small-scale, or industrial trials with customers
  • Follow up offers, payments, etc.
  • Develop and execute Sales Budget and forecasts

Requirements

  • Degree in Food Technology Must have
  • Ability to solve technological problems and passion for food product development
  • Exceptionally good communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
  • High willingness to travel
  • Very organized, reliable, positive thinking
  • Very good knowledge of Italian and English (fluent in spoken and written) Must have
  • You have a valid driving license Must have
  • Working in an international team with lean structures
  • Close cooperation with market-leading, innovative suppliers with excellent products
  • Regular product and application training in our LAB
