This is a contract role.

We are searching for a strategic community management and operations expert to join the International Community team and help grow Reddit outside of the US. As part of the Product organization, the International Community team plays a key role in helping Reddit realize its mission: bringing community and belonging to everyone in the world.

As the Italy Community Operations lead, you will be at the forefront of jumpstarting and fostering local communities. Your fluency in Italian, coupled with your understanding of Italian-speaking communities, will position you as an expert capable of launching initiatives to connect with local volunteer moderators. Your insights and initiatives will be crucial in refining and scaling our international consumer playbook, helping to accelerate growth in Italy.

Responsibilities:

• Be a public face with local volunteer moderators to build trust and drive engagement, mediating conflicts and helping find solutions
• Cultivate, recruit, educate, and grow a local community of moderators, content creators, influencers, etc.
• Gain deep understanding and market knowledge to identify user and moderator pain points, competitors, and opportunities
• Iterate, innovate, and scale the consumer growth playbook by recognizing opportunities, suggesting bold ideas, and persuading teams to adopt new plans
• Communicate insights to optimize and improve the international consumer growth strategies
• Identify channels to discover new communities and increase engagement within existing ones
• Be results-driven, achieving aggressive goals and outcomes
• Run reports, build dashboards, analyze data, set KPIs, and execute community initiatives
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Community, Engineering, Marketing, Safety, and Business Development teams

What We Can Expect From You:

• Several years of experience in operations management, product consulting, community operations, or a related tech field
• Blend of operations, growth, project management, and community management expertise
• Deep knowledge of Italian culture, current events, politics, customs, language, and topics of interest
• Data-driven and analytical mindset; skills in Excel modeling and SQL are helpful
• Effective communicator in Italian and English, resident of Italy
• Results-oriented with high attention to detail and excellent execution skills
• Interest in developing and testing independent projects, framing issues, and iterating on processes
