Position Summary
Reporting to the CMI Manager International Premium Brands, you will be responsible for fostering an in-depth understanding of the brands, their competitors, categories, consumers, needs, trends, and new opportunities, considering market specificities to consolidate a global view. You will answer essential business questions to gain a competitive advantage and capitalize on new product and communication opportunities. Acting as a business partner, this role is crucial in propelling brands forward using brand health monitoring, innovation projects, and communication strategies. The CMI Lead will inspire, shape, and influence the mid- to long-term strategy of brands, while guiding marketing teams in developing brand-building and activation initiatives.
A day in the life of the Italian Premium Brands CMI Lead
- Strategic business partner to the Brand, Communications, and Innovation teams, including answering essential business questions
- Passionately drives understanding of consumers through strong focus and ability to connect insights from multiple sources: Behavioral Neuroscience, social, HHP, etc.
- Leads the execution of the brands research plan, deepening consumer understanding, validating I&R concepts, or creative and communication testing
- Champions brand health, driving brand health monitoring across key Italian international brands and markets
- Keeps a pulse on the environment & connects data to act as a Strategic Planner. Reviews and summarizes multiple sources (ad hoc research, competitors, trends, brand health tracking, sales, panel, consumer data, etc.) to build a strong understanding and lead the activation of actionable insights
- Collaborates with the Communications/digital teams, providing pre- and post-test insights
- Fosters strong stakeholder collaboration to maximize synergies, supporting the definition of relevant business questions, streamlined briefs, methodologies, and action standards for projects
What will make you successful
- Experience in creating comprehensive marketing reports, integrating insights and data from various sources/markets for a holistic understanding
- Experience in qualitative and quantitative research and insight validation
- Analytically minded and comfortable navigating multi-market or multi-source data sets
- Ability to synthesize multiple data sources into clear, actionable stories with tangible recommendations
- Proven experience in international projects and organizations
- Experience advising on business decisions and supporting marketing teams in identifying growth opportunities
- Willingness to drive business impact by connecting different data points
- Ability to foster strong relationships with multiple stakeholders
- Comfort dealing with uncertainties and ambiguities in a matrix organization
- Excellent communication skills, with proven ability to coordinate cross-functional work and manage stakeholder relationships
