Mercor is seeking a Music & Lyrics Expert to evaluate AI-generated music and lyrics for quality and originality in a remote contract role. The candidate should have native Italian proficiency, the ability to follow English instructions, and experience as a songwriter or lyricist. Preferred are formal music training and published songwriting credits; ideal for those familiar with contemporary Italian genres. Remote, up to 6 months, 20+ hours per week.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native proficiency in Italian.
• Ability to follow detailed written instructions in English.
• Experience as songwriter, lyricist, performer, composer, or music journalist.
• Knowledge of the Italian music scene.
• Headphones or studio monitors suitable for critical listening.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated music across diverse genres. Rate against detailed quality standards.
• Compare AI-generated lyrics with published songs to identify similarities.
• Rate lyrics based on quality, creativity, prompt adherence, and originality.
• Evaluate whether lyrics sound natural, including word choice, slang, and regional expressions.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines and improve AI model performance.
