IT Software Developer

Purpose of the job:
The IT Software Developer is responsible for delivering software and IT solutions to support the business operations. They design, maintain, and implement database management systems, computer applications, and operating systems. They also analyze organizational software needs, devise solutions, and maintain PC software and hardware systems.

Summary of responsibilities:

1. Integrate and develop software according to business needs.
2. Manage and maintain software currently in use in the terminal.
3. Implement changes in software programs based on end-user demands.
4. Follow updates in software systems and update accordingly.
5. Ensure IT systems operate without interruption and provide technical support to end-users during terminal hours, including nights and holidays as required.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years professional experience as an IT Software Developer.

Technical Skills & Knowledge Required:

• Proficiency in one or more object-oriented languages (Java, Python).
• Strong knowledge of relational database management and backend solutions.
• Knowledge of MS, Linux, VMware administration tools.
• Proficiency in SQL language.
• Experience with Docker virtualization.
• Preferred knowledge in EDI, Kubernetes, integration software, ETL, messaging systems (JMS, Kafka).

Behavioral Competences:

• Ability to work well with others (team building).
• Good communication skills.
• Problem-solving abilities.

Language Requirements:

Intermediate spoken English.
