Generali Asset Management in Milano seeks an IT Business Analyst / Solution Architect to lead Front-to-Back change initiatives, design solutions around SimCorp Dimension, and coordinate cross-functional teams. You will gather requirements, define technical specs, and oversee implementation across platforms supporting portfolio management and pre/post-trade workflows.

The role combines analysis, architecture, and project coordination to deliver scalable IT solutions aligned with business needs

Competenze

• Master’s Degree in Finance or Computer Science (or equivalent).
• At least 5 years as IT Business Analyst or IT Solution Architect in financial services.
• Experience coordinating IT projects in complex environments with requirements analysis.
• Knowledge of SQL is a plus; familiarity with asset management a plus.
• Knowledge of PM methodologies and SDLC.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Fluency in English and Italian; ability to coordinate with diverse stakeholders.

Within the Core IT System Unit of Generali Asset Management , the Platform Development IT team is in charge of providing business analysis, solution design and application management services to all A&WM Companies and Group entities using SimCorp Dimension (as portfolio management system), and other Pre and Post Trade Platforms granting the development and maintenance of these systems in a consistent way across all stakeholders.

This role is pivotal in defining, designing, and coordinating Front-to-Back change initiatives, primarily (but not exclusively) on SimCorp Dimension, ensuring alignment with business needs, organizational standards, and strategic objectives. The role combines solution design, business analysis, and project coordination responsibilities, overseeing the end-to-end delivery of changes from requirements gathering and solution definition through implementation, testing, and production rollout.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver innovative, scalable, and efficient solutions that support portfolio management, pre- and post-trade workflows, and middle-to-back-office operations.

You will be involved in the following activities:

• Change Initiatives Coordination & Delivery: Coordinate and drive Front-to-Back change initiatives throughout their lifecycle, ensuring alignment between business stakeholders, IT teams and vendors. Plan, monitor, and coordinate project activities, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and timelines to ensure successful implementation
• Solution Design & Architecture: Define and document technical designs for Front-to-Back solutions, ensuring consistency and scalability across platforms, with a strong focus on SimCorp Dimension and related transactional ecosystems.
• Business Analysis: Gather and analyse business requirements, translating them into functional and technical specifications for new features and workflows.
• Configuration & Implementation: Configure and implement new functionalities within SimCorp Dimension and other operational platforms, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
• Documentation & Guidelines: Draft comprehensive functional documentation and guidelines for internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the evolution of IT platforms by introducing cutting-edge technologies and innovative practices to enhance operational efficiency and user experience.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in either Finance or Computer Science (and equivalent)
• At least 5 years of relevant experience as IT Business Analyst or IT Solution Architect, ideally within financial services or asset management.
• Proven experience in coordinating and delivering IT projects in complex organizational and technical environments, including business requirements gathering, functional analysis, technical solution design and implementation oversight.
• Knowledge of SQL is considered a plus. Knowledge of Investment, asset & wealth management industry and financial services.
• Knowledge of Project Management methodologies and software development lifecycle.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Fluency in English and Italian.
• Ability to work with different stakeholders

What we offer

The role is offered within the 3^Area Professionale category, under the National Collective Labour Agreement for the Banking Sector (CCNL Credito) and the applicable Company Collective Agreement (Contratto Integrativo Aziendale).

The starting gross annual salary is €37.000. The final offer will reflect the candidate’s professional experience and the technical and interpersonal competences required for the position and may include an individual variable compensation component.
