WellD Italia is looking for a Backend Developer to join its dev team in Milano.

Located in the heart of Milan, Quartiere Isola / Garibaldi, easily accessible by public transportation. We mainly work remotely, meeting in the office for planning sessions, pair programming, and team building.

What tech we use

Our current tech stack includes Java (Backend), React (Frontend), Git/GitLab, and Docker. For this position, strong knowledge of Java and the JVM ecosystem is required. Experience with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL) and React or similar frontend frameworks is also valued.

How we conceive software development

We promote Agile Development with a formal process including Code Reviews, Pair Programming, and Continuous Delivery. We prioritize software quality and have established methodologies and pipelines to ensure it. We believe in designing software, not just coding it.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand client requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Develop scalable backend solutions using Java, ensuring seamless integration with frontend technologies.
• Implement and manage DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment using Docker.
• Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing to maintain high software quality.
• Contribute to our Tech Blog and community events to share expertise.

Qualifications

• Understanding of the Java ecosystem and experience in backend development.
• Familiarity with frontend technologies such as React or similar frameworks.
• Proactive problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.

• Fluency in Italian and English.
